"Used Copy of Monster" and "Always, Now" are two songs that show off power-pop chameleon Ryan Allen's shoegaze side.
"Used Copy..." details Allen's affinity for R.E.M.'s somewhat lauded album "Monster", name-dropping almost every song on the LP, and sewing that into a cohesive story about marching to the beat of your own drum.
"Always, Now" is a wistful, moody, but ultimately uplifting song about divorce, co-parenting, and still being there for people no matter the circumstances
